Insert or delete cells, rows, columns in Sheets Windows

Insert or delete a cell:

  1. Select any cell. On the Home tab, select Insert. 

  2. Tap Shift Cells down and Shift Cells right, or tap Delete Shift cells up and Shift cells left

Insert or delete a row:

  1. Select any cell within the row. On the Home tab,

  2. Select InsertInsert Rows or Delete Rows.

Insert or delete a column:

  1. Select any cell within the column. On the Home tab,

  2. Select Insert > Insert Columns or Delete Columns.
