Insert tab in Sheets Windows
The Insert dropdown is used for placing a wide range of visual additions to your spreadsheets, such as graphics and charts.

Table... – Inserts a table with a pre-set formatting style. Just select its proportions and click OK. |

Picture... – Inserts an image into your spreadsheet from your computer's filesystem. Placed images can be modified using the resize and scale anchors and rotated using the protruding rotate anchor. |

Chart... – Opens the Chart Editor, which allows you to insert a chart with a range of visual styles. The Type tab lists charts and chart subtypes, including 3D effect variants. The Format tab allows you to add and name series, ranges, and titles. | ||||||

Chart in New Sheet – Same as the Chart operation above, except the chart will be added as its own separate sheet. | ||||||

Comment – Adds a comment to a cell or cell range. Commented cells are marked by a small indicator in the upper right, and comments will appear by hovering your mouse over them. Comments can be edited and deleted from the Review tab. | ||||||

Link... – Adds a hyperlink to any selected text. You can choose between a web address, email address, or bookmark within the spreadsheet by using the corresponding tabs at the top of the dialog. |
Insert tab in Sheets Android
The Insert tab is used for placing a wide range of visual additions to your spreadsheets, such as graphics and charts.

Table – Inserts a table into the selected cell or cell range. You can specify the number of rows and columns by dragging them across the creation grid. Once a table is inserted, you can modify it under the Table tab by tapping on it. |

Picture – Inserts an image into your spreadsheet from your Android file system. Placed images can be modified using resize and scale anchors. |

Link – Marks the contained cell elements as a hyperlink to a web address or email. Offers options to add URL; Email; Cell; Defined Names. |

Comment – Adds a comment to a cell or cell range. Commented cells are marked by a small indicator in the upper right, and will briefly appear when the cell or cell range is selected. |
Line Break – Similar to how the Shift + Enter key combination works, the Line Break feature will bring the cursor to a new line in the same paragraph. |

Picture – Inserts an image into your spreadsheet from your iOS Photos app. You may be prompted to grant OfficeSuite access to your Photos in order for this feature to work. Placed images can be modified using the resize and scale anchors, and rotated using the protruding rotate anchor. |
